Interview notes: Joel loves the Lord Jesus Christ, is highly intelligent, able bodied , and lives with both his parents, who are peasants with seven children to take care of. The parents struggle to provide for their family, and poverty there is very apparent, which leaves them very vulnerable. When sickness strikes, it is very hard for them to access medicines, and their clothing consists of items dumped by others. Their meals are not balanced or providing the correct nutrition. However Joel is jolly and loves Hide and Seek and group games. He helps in family chores including gathering firewood and cleaning utensils.
